Obtained this wax buffing trick from my tipster friend, LJ Brico Fleur (http://atelierdubricoleur.wordpress.com). This tip of his, I learned, was published in PWM.

What you need:An ROS, a coarse grit disc (I used 60 grits), and a piece of felt.

After a coat of wax is uniformly applied to the tablesaw, place a large piece of felt on the tablesaw and then the ROS (with the 60 grit disc mounted). Turn on the sander and buff your way to a silk smooth surface.

Thanks Serge, for saving me from a lot of unnecessary elbow grease. The whole job took a minute or two only.

Great suggestion, don’t have to worry about the felt slipping off with that coarse a grit.

Thanks to you both for the tip; will try this out. I already tried out a car buffer/polisher (one of the $20 ones), and that was less than impressive.
