I made this out of 1/8th inch redwood and finished it with boiled linseed oil. I used an Excalibur 21 scroll saw. The pattern, by Wayne and Jacob Fowler, appeared on page 36 of the September, 2009 issue of Creative Woodworking and Crafts.
