Made this lid from some shelving and plywood I had laying around. Based off the Thien design. Made the circle cutting jig out of some scraps. Used pipe insulation around the lip of the can. It is held on with bungee cords. So far, no complaints. I have filled the can several times and the bag on the DC barely has anything in it (most of the dust in it was there before I added the seperator).

Way to go! Thien separators are the best.
