This is some photos of a Maple Coffee table i did from some Maple I have had laying around collecting dust so I did the table and last yr I did a wall shelf using some maple from same tree.

Where you able to put the slabs thru your dewalt planer? Do you seal the wood, if not will it eventually split? I like the natural look.

Yes the slab went in the planner but it took forever to get it down to thickness.Problem was it was ripped with chainsaw so it was high and low until I got it pretty flat. I have three coats of Varathane Diamond wood on it so Im hoping it stays in shape.I have had it drying for about 6 yrs so it should be settled down by now
