I am heading to Burning Man. First timer. Been wondering what I might take to trade or what ever. Walked into the shop several weeks ago and saw these bits of left over projects. Sliced them up and drill a few holes and 2 1/2 hours later I have pendants and 2 bottle openers. The danish oil finish took about another week of a few minutes per day. Wish me luck, am leaving soon

AWESOME! I’ve never been to Burning Man, but it has always sounded like an incredible experience. Pack your own provisions into the desert. No money is there…trade for anything.

If you see a guy in Flintstone car, tell him hi. ;-)) Hope your trading stock goes well.

Good luck and check your “package” often for hitchhikers. HA!!! You’ll have a great time as long as you go with an open mind and spirit. Take lots of pics.

always,

good luck, from what I have seen it is a bunch of left wing hippie want-to-be’s :) but I hear it is a good time.

Roger. Burning Man is in the middle of a large dry lake in the northwestern part of Nevada, land speed record was set there a bunch of years ago. That is the easy part to describe. It is a large art festival. Lots of fie performers and many art projects are burned by the end. Once inside the only things you can buy is ice and coffee. There are many “camps” of people that band together to make art, offer services, be nutty, sort of a Mad Max movie come to life.

The ones I normally drink are not twisties. And it is much cooler to use a nice bottle opener on the twisties any way. And easier for those of us that are getting weak in the grip. ( no funny stuff now )

Have fun at Burning Man!!! ... I heard this year the tickets sold out at 50,000 people. Amazing given that only a few years ago it was only 3-4 thousand. Americans are truly searching from something better than corrupted politics and oppressive religion … Paganism on the rise… Atheism on the rise… the youth are more open minded and environmentally aware than ever before. Awesome..awesome….love that most older and rural (and southern) Americans have no idea the country is changing right under their noses and there is nothing they can do to stop it!! Alas… I will never go to Burning Man … the heat just kills me down there.. I prefer the local Burning Man-like fests here near Chicago … better temps … far less people.. local people… and good relaxed community without too much travel!! And people can find me for my burnable cork and stick effigies. My assistant is on his way south now … he is all about the love and peace and big fun of Burning Man. He does fire spinning and drum circles… Ahh to be 25 again. And a good friend of mine designed and built a giant mushroom bounce house with glow in the dark lights and neon black light colors… looks great. She should be setting up right now! Look for it.. :) Again.. have a blast.

If JE Jartisan thinks it`s hot down at Burning Man, he should wait till he gets to Hell.
