I built these end tables for our family room. I built them from a set of plans but like always, I modified them. Shortened them and made all the joints mortise and tenon including the tenons that extend through the legs. I also built the drawers out of solid oak instead of the birch ply they called for. I milled the mortises in a jig I built for my router and the tenons on the table saw with another jig I built. They turned out pretty good considering I built them using my old jobsite saw before I purchased the cabinet saw.

These are nice looking end tables.

Walnutz, i like em! I’m actually working on some plans at the moment that are smiliar to these (i’m just looking to do a shelf at the bottom of them with slats on the sides)
For the drawers, i’ve been trying to figure out if leaving the area under the drawer open is a normal practice. I THINK from your pics you did that, right? If so, thats awesome and I’ll do the same.
What finish(es) did you use on these? I like the color.

Thanks everyone.
Everett1, yes they are just open under the drawers. The finish is Varathane, American Walnut stain with Minwax, oil based Clear Satin Poly. This is the first project I’ve done this dark, but did it to match the entertainment center. They match perfectly. Thanks again for the comments.
