Now this is what I like. This piece is just beautiful. I really appreciate the movement of color and tone from one edge to the other. I love it and think I’ll try it with whatever scraps I can find. What types of wood did you use?

thank you for the kind words. The woods are maple,purpleheart,zebra wood, padauck, mahogany,walnut and bubinga.

you did a great job of aligning the pieces. I always like a variety of colors, it gives it character and uniqueness.

A nice variation from the typical checkerboard pattern, with your transitional use of mixed hardwoods. Interesting!
