These are a pair of nightstands that i have recently completed, constructed of 8/4 walnut and 5/4 alder. The joints to the piece are mortise and tenon and the drawers are constructed of baltic birch with a rabbited drawer box and doweled with the miller doweling system. They were both sanded and hand finished with 2 coats of tung oil. I am working on the bed frame next and the dresser after that….so more to follow.

Neat!
I don’t use tung oil since I did not think it will give a nice finish. Now I know I am wrong.
Thanks for posting.

Those r absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait to see the Bed and Dresser. I love walnut, but the combination of it and the Alder is gorgeous. Really nice craftsmanship, you should be very proud. Thanks for sharing
