This is my entry for The Wood Whisperer Guild build. The project this time was to build a Greene and Greene style Adirondack chair, or any other pattern that we like. Several years ago I made us the set of chairs you see in the picture with a table. A year ago it was very obvious that the varnish had not weathered well and my wife decided to paint them blue to go with the pool. Sometimes you have to give in. When the project idea came up, I decided to use the same pattern that I had so they would match.
So I made a double/love seat adirondack with another table and yes, more blue paint. The chairs have umbrellas attached to the back (not shown) and all have seat cushions. They are very comfortable. Made from HD pine. Later on I may whip up some foot rest for them. The original project can be seen here: http://lumberjocks.com/projects/7939
