Maple Box with rosewood lid and dovetail-joints

This project has been in the shop for a couple of weeks. It was ready to receive some finish but somehow it was put aside. While finishing the MozaiekBox I also applied the some finish on this one

Woods :maple and rosewood
Finish : 1 layer walnut oil, 3 layers of danish oil

The dovetails are cut by hand.

was the box glued up as a whole and then the lid cut off? or was the lid glued separately from the box?

Swell pattern… I like your hand cut dovetails…very professional looking box..

really nice work. You can come cut my dovetails any time. You turn out some really fine work in your attic workshop!

Nice looking box!
How did you construct the top and bottom to the sides?
I mean, when you cut a dado/groove, it wil show up against the corner-joints.
