My wife and I searched for a long time in the stores for the perfect outdoor table.

Well as you can see we got tired of looking so I made our own. The one’s in the store were too short and narrow.

The top is 4×8, 3/4 birch, frame is 2×4 and 1×4 Poplar, the legs are pre made purchased at a cabinet shop.

It has 4 coats of marine varnish on it for protection.

When not in use we keep it covered with a marine vinyl over a couple folded sheets to help prevent wicking.

This table will seat 6-8 comfortably plus all the food in the middle for easy reach.

All total I probably only have $300.00 in it and the store bought tables were all significantly higher.

If I were doing this over I would have spent the extra money and jointed a nice hardwood table top.
