is that a 3×5 flag if so what are your dimensions?

Mike, just looking at the proportions of the background items in the 2nd picture, I figure it is a 5×9 flag.

Great job. Very nice joinery. A clean piece of work!

Mike – The inside demensions for a 3×5 box are approx 12” for the two sides and 17” for the base.

Pat – I think you’re right. Looks like a flag given to a family to honor a military member.

Nice job. By the way, I hope you sealed the inside as oak has a tendency to eat at the material of the flag over time.

I do not remember the dimensions. I will look back through my old drawings and see what the dimensions are, if I still have them. The box was for an honor flag. I think the base is longer then 17” though it though it was more like 22”. I will check my drawings and see what I have.
