Open-back Shelf / Retail Fixture – Cypress

This is a retail fixture that I built for a local Fench stationery store. The basic shape is meant to mimic that of a Provencial French dresser. The back and sides were left open to allow plenty of light to enter and illuminate the items placed on the shelves. Boxing-in the sides and back would easily produce a simple bookshelf. Dimensions were supplied by the client.

Thanks for looking!

Joey,

Nice looking shelf.

What did you do for finish? Any stain? Oil, varnish, shellac, wax….

Keep up the good work.
