Like any father and avid woodworker you always enjoy seeing your children show an interest in your hobby. So, I want to take a minute if you don’t mind and brag a little about my son’s woodworking skills. After a few lessons on basic woodworking and a scrollsaw lesson or two he took it from there. He likes making toys and replica weapons. He made a sign for his office that displays two working rubber band guns. The rubber band guns are his design of an old Navy Colt. They are made from walnut and red oak. The replica samurai sword is made out of poplar and painted.
Thanks for letting me brag.

They are all really cool. Looks and sounds to me like your son is a chip off of the old block. His instructor is a very good woodworker… Great projects and craftsmanship.

You are really fortunate to have a son who’s interested in woodworking! How old is he? Help him grow in ti and put challenges that are do-able for him so he won’t get discouraged and quit. He is doing very well already! I am looking forward to seeing his work a year from now, John!
