Came across these pics and thought I would post my first project while I’m sitting here at my office wanting to be in my shop. I made this one about 8 years ago from clear pine, poplar and oak. I think the finish was a golden pecan stain with a semi-gloss poly and several coats of paste wax.
Just finished another one not long ago tht was cherry and oak and forgot to take pictures of it before I shipped it out.

That looks great. I also looks like you can lift the cradle off the stand? That could come in handy at times.

This is a nice cradle. It is something that can be passed on to future generations.
Thanks for sharing

Very nice. If my wife and I decide to have another one, I’ll have to be sure to pick your brain on the design ;)

Thanks for the kind comments.
Gary – Yes it does lift off the stand. I looked for quite a while to find a design like it and never found one. So I came up with my own.
Tomcat – Just let me know. I designed it myself and have the dwg’s in Autocad. I can export to whatever you need.
