Alright, I just finished my assembly table/outfeed table, courtesy of the Great Whispering Spagnuolo. I absolutely loved the plan and concept. I don’t think my table differs too much from Marc’s. Here’s some specs:
Base:
3/4” birch ply for base
On casters
8 drawers, 4 doors
Full ext slides
Wired for 12 outlet bank on one end, on other end are two standard outlets
One interior outlet switched for my pancake compressor, which has coiled hose on outside of base
Table:
1/2” MDF torsion top
1/2” hardboard on top of mdf, only screwed
Trimmed with 3/4” oak, chamfered edge
Top appx 1/4” lower than my table saw
All finished with 3 coats poly
I love this table – ‘nuff said. Love the quieter compressor, the always handy coiled air hose, the large flat work surface it provides, the large outfeed table it provides, the mobility on casters (I can roll it onto driveway if I want), the great storage capacity, all the full ext drawers, etc.
Thanks for looking!

Oh, man! I’m going to have to wear something that matches green cause I’m just colored with jelousy. That is outstanding work and I’m green with envy!

That is VERY NICE! Is that the wood whisperer’s assembly table on casters? I have plans to do that exact table and use it as an assembly table and out feed table on casters!
Nice work!! Love it!

Thanks everyone! Yes, I actually do always keep the shop this clean. I love having everything organized and clean (so does my wife!). Yes, it is the whisperer’s table on casters. I highly recommend the project. Not too difficult and great reward.

That’s sooooo cool! I literally just got done finalizing my dimension for the table last week! I’m waiting for the $$$ and the heat to go away then I plan on knocking it out pretty soon! Do you mind me asking how much it cost total and where you ordered your slides at?

Lance, I really don’t know the final dollar amt. I ordered my slides from gliderite.com I highly recommend them. Very cheap. You have to order bulk – I forget how many come in the box. I think I have 2 or 4 slides left over after this project. They work great!
