Yet another project by me not finished yet but I appreciate constructive criticism at this point… Thanks padauk , mohimbe chips and heavy chunk of white oak… One photo may have an old growth piece of california red wood I’m considering… Take care , and thanks for checkin it out ! pat. I tried to rotate the 1st photo but won’t come thru that way ? Oh well I’ll take more pictures when I’m finished , Thanks

Is your goal to fill that hole with the chips? Either way I think that would look cool. Unique for sure.

I like what you are doing with the base. The different colors and textures kind of draws you into the piece and gives it interest both at the top and the bottom.. The top to me looks like some type of a figure. It would be interesting to know what you see in this piece or what you are trying to say with it. Looking forward to seeing this one finished.

Pretty neat….what are you envisioning as far as finishing? I like the contrast between the base and the top…rustic, rough hewn light colored base vs. dark smooth flowing top…...
