I purchased an 11” x 14” poster of the infamous plate 11 of Andre Roubos on ebay. And since most frames that I had looked at just didnt do the picture justice I decided to build my own. The plans for this was from the February 2011 issue of Woodworkers Journal in an article written by David Fowler although the dimensions were changed to fit my needs. I used quartersawn white oak with gaboon ebony for the plugs. Finish is several coats of the Waterlox wiping varnish, knocked back with a gray 3m pad, then applied a coat of paste wax for that extra shine. All in all I am very satisfied with how this project turned out and I think it does a nice job of displaying this great picture.

Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone. Now I just need a proper shop area that I can hang it in, I guess the bedroom will do for now. ha ha
