I covered an entryway with cedar shake shingles for a neighbor of mine. There was some left over and she asked me if I could do something with them. We were standing in front of her house when I looked at her mail box and told her yeah. The box is made from old fence board. The post that it is on is from a cedar tree that I had to cut down at my house. It is a general store and of course a pony express office. I wished I had a pic of her mailbox before, but here is some after pics…

This is a unique mailbox. I have not seen anything to compare to this. It certainly was an original idea.
