Now, that is one interesting carving! The combination of wood grains, angles, undulating in and out of layers of different wood and design shows a lot of imagination, Paul, but octopus? To me, it looks more like a mommy spider guarding its eggs ! LOL :-} Artwork is supposed to be left to the viewer’s interpretation, right? Either way, its great carving!

Amazing piece of art. I initialy thought “spider” too, but I can see “octopus”. Nice job!
