Hello LJ’s,

A while back I bought the book : Masters of the Wooden Box. There were a lot of beautiful boxes but a couple were just a bit more my style. I liked the work of Robert Ingham. After sending an email in which I asked if I could make my version of one of his projects the build started.

It was rather complicated to keep al the pieces in the right order but I wrote on each piece which end was up and the front and back. On the way I made some mistakes which I tried to hide…......

I’ll be making on again in the future, I still like the design but I can improve on my skills.

Nice Rick. I can’t help but wonder if the middle section is a butt joint or dovetailed also?

Nice work,
I never knew that design came from because I have done same only that I used miter joints. Well thanks for posting. Here are some of my same boxes. Yours are really fine with contrasting colors on the sides.

Thanks to Robert too.

@Schwieb : It’s not dovetailed but i routed a hole and made the side fit into this. I couldnt find the english term

@bert: nice boxes. my boxes are all linked together.
