I am still working my way throughout the Yew wood that was given to me. This afternoon I finished a plate for a friend of mine. It had a nice bark on one small part of the edge that I was able to maintain.

I am by no means an accomplished turner , but is there some reason that the foot is so small on this “plate” ?
Thanks : )
Nice color and wonderful grain in that Yew : )

Beautifull piece of timber, great finish to the top, but also curious about the rim return & foot it doesn’t seem to fit so good IMHO, :)
