WW2 Helmet Display Pedestal

As I continue to build projects for my WW2 themed room, I’ve added this pedestal display for an original GI helmet which came from Normandy. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s the first time I’ve used Cherry Veneer Plywood, and it was really easy to use, came out great, and was a lot cheaper. I see why a lot of people use it for casework.

Looks like you had a chance to work on angles with this one! Thanks for sharing.

sras – I sure did! My head was spinning from trying to keep track of all the compound angles, and I quickly learned that being off by .5 degrees showed up big time…I tried not to let it bother me as this was a “quick and dirty” project.
