Small projects made of apple tree

First a frame I made for my wife. She bought the canvas some years ago in Nice, France.

The lumber was a branch from her grandmothers appletree, a Gravenstein. I took the branch, that was already dry on the tree, on the same day as grandma’s funeral and the house should be out for sale.

Then a candle holder made of 2 humps, one with a tiny branch on it. It is the same apple tree.
The finish is paraffin oil.
