I made this one last year 2010, wood is Maple and Purpuple heart that I purchased at Sao Paulo, Brazil. I was able to put on my luggage 6 pcs of 2×4’s about 2feets long, I made it tru customs at origing with no issues, but when I landed at Guadalajara, Mx. I got red light, (random screening) and I was worry, the customs take away and maybe pay fees, lucky enugh, I was not screened 100% and I went thru with just a verbal warning for bringing those in, the officer (woman) just saw 2 pcs, not the other 4.
the problem is that I dont find this kind of wood locally, every time I travel I bring some pcs only.
thks!

It turned out great. The two colors blend well together. If I ever need any wood from Brazil I will let you know.
