Knotty Alder picture frame. Lapped design is from The Complete Book of Woodworking. This was made with scraps from a local cabinet shop. All the pics are of the same frame. Sorry, I took numerous pictures but none of them came out very well. Finish is only one coat of Deft: Brushing Laquer.

Nice frame. I like the knots in the wood.

Just made an entertainment center out of Knotty Alder. Very nice and easy wood to work with.

Tim, I have the same book and made several of these, also. I posted mine if you would like to see them. Did you use a router or dado to make the laps? I like the knots, also.
