Blue Haze Lap Steel Number 2 finally finished! Whew, lot of detail work and lots of tuning and fine tuning (12 strings worth!!) Lots of strips of Maple, Oak, Cherry, Mahogany, and Beech glued together. Two single coil 6 pole pick-ups for amplification. Sustain out the wazoo with this much wood, probably weighs about 10 pounds or so. 5/8” precision ground bearing rod for the nut and bridge. Cherry frets inlaid in the neck. Plays great, I played it about 3 hours last night. 24” scale.
