Quilt chest. Over time, the cherry in the quilt blocks has darkened and diminished the contrast with the walnut and maple pieces in the blocks. If I ever do this one again I’ll dye the quilt block pieces in colors.

Definitely my favorite for quilt chests. The quilt blocks patterns really make it top notch.

Lovely chest! The quilt blocks add the appropriate touch. There’s a rest stop on I-80 in Iowa as one nears the Mississippi River (Near Muscatine, IA) with a theme built around quilt blocks and their use on the Under-ground Railroad. They played a real part in history.
