CHRISTMAS is coming sooner then you think and it is time to start making all those presents !
Here is a Santa sleigh I have be making a few of every Christmas and they are still in demand at friends houses and there kids and I dropped some off at a old folks home last year and will probably do something like that again this year.
My wife deserves the credit for decorating the sleighs and I think she is doing a great job.
We’re having fun with this and have shipped them as far as Germany and Pennsylvania.

This looks like my next project, I need to make 18 of these for all the my friends and family. What a great idea and it can be used for years to come. Did you use 1 x material or is it 3/8”?

I don’t sell these anymore just give them away for presents .
When I did sell them 20 years ago I charged $ 10.00 each but I had to have an order of fifty.

I use 5/8 pine 1×8 which is 1×8 planed to 5/8 .
I use a router and a pattern jig with a 5/16 down cut spiral bit and a guide bushing to cut out the side pieces.
This makes it very easy and fast , about a minute a side and the complete sleigh takes me about 10 minutes.
This year I will have to make a new jig as I destroyed it by not being careful with the router and the bit cut into the jig.
Have fun and make a good pattern and jig .

You are welcome and now get busy !
These things take some planning and never seem to get done till the last days before Christmas.
