Screwed Up Birdhouse

Yet another birdhouse! I made a hickory box birdhouse then added a few twist to it. The front and top have a total of 94 old wood screws removed from a broken antique piano my friend had. Weird that of all the pieces of the piano, I used the screws first. There are all kinds of piano parts laying around waiting for some inspiration. The middle screw on the bottom row holds the door shut.

Okay…found a use for those screws! they sure have plenty of perches. They can sit on them to wait in line to get in!!!

Pretty neat!

I guess if a bird didn’t time his approach just right when landing, he would be screwed.

Now I know what to do with those big old rusty flat head screws I have been saving knowing I will eventually need them for something. Finally, something came along… lol. Thanks. well done.

Nice . . . . and a great way to deter the snakes.
