Small bluebird sized birdhouse made out of poplar and walnut. I cut the poplar so that the grain matched and rolled from side to back to side. Front door is decorated with a replaced cog that came off my Honda lawnmower. I welded two bolts on the back and fastened through to the front door. The recycled metal roof was stripped and buffed to a satin finish. It should eventually rust up nicely. Poly keeps it protected in the weather. Thanks for looking!

So Shrub,

What do you actually DO with the birdhouses you build?

Are they for sale, or do you hang them at your house, etc…........

They look fantastic, BTW! Really creative.

KnotCurser -

Originally my houses piled up in the corner or landed on a tree in my backyard. Lately many are given as gifts or donated for school/charity fundraisers. I sell a handful here and there too. I guarantee evey birdhouse I make for life. Give it back to me and I’ll fix it or replace it. I love getting one back that has been used outside for a few years. Tree rats (squirrels) do more damage than weather.

Thanks for the post and compliment.
