Cedar Breaks National Monument in reclaimed barnwood

I’ve reclaimed some barnwood and made another sign of local interest. This time, unlike Zion Natl. Park, I carried the carving to the top and bottom of the wood. Depth is 3/16” and some original rusted nailsand a cast iron star has been added for detail.

Very very nice! I love the effect of the underside carving. This is a spectacular piece.

DANG! I hadn’t thought of carving the edges. Have you ever wrapped around to the back—- it might look good on a free hanging sign.

saw it from above

simple ride through the pine forest
