Out With the Old ....... In With the New ....... Clamp Rack

Project by RobH posted 652 days ago 755 views 9 times favorited 19 comments Add to Favorites Watch

Hey all,

Just a quick post here. Last weekend I finished up my new clamp cart. The old one (pictured below) was taking up too much room, and with a large project coming up, I needed to clear out some space. The new clamp cart holds all the old one did plus more. It is also a little taller so I am using my vertical space a little better. The new one is also compact enough to fit in the corner behind my “man door” in the garage and still let the door open. Only a week old, and the new clamp rack is already turning out to be a blessing.

Thanks for looking, ya’ll have a great week. Don’t forget your sweetheart on the 14th.

I don’t normally say “nice rack” to a guy, but I’ll make an exception in this case. :-)

That is one fine job. I need to get mine organized. F-clamps are one place, pipe clamps, another, C-clamps hang by the window, one-handed clamps hang from rafters….LOL You get the picture.

God Bless,
Hawg

I like the rack, good job.
I hope to have enough clamps to need a rack some one day

Nice rack, now all you have to do is fill it up with clamps – and that won’t be cheap. Can’t get over the price of clamps.

Fancy. I keep mine on the wall as I am out of floor space.

Nice, I also have several of the Bessey Ratcheting Quick Clamps. I beleive that is what is pictured unless it is a very close knock off. Not super strong, but extremely useful for quick jigs and low force applications. Cheap as well.

Good idea for a clamp rack. I like the wood rack you have in the background too!

Maybe one day when I do one of my deep clean-ups I will post a blog with a shop tour. I need to get a couple of more cabinets finished first and get some things organized.

Thanks for all the compliments.

really great…this summer I hope to go big time…and build a new shed…for the purpose of clearing space in my one car garage—-for a dedicated shop…once that is done…i will go to all shop projects…this is great…i love it…I am not sure my garage is big enough to put it on wheels…but I like the idea of a nice neat organized rack near the wall…

wow , this one really seems to hold a lot of clamps AND not take up very much prime real estate : }
