Per usual, real life has been getting in the way of making things.
Recently, I’ve taken to making rings for my friends, and these are a few that I made last night.
The plain walnut is bentwood. I’ve heard more than a few people taking about bentwood rings lately… and I figured, I can bend wood, how hard could it be?! I think that one has actually been the most fun so far.
The walnut with the stripes, and the figured maple were both drilled and cut on a saw…
They each have a coat of tung oil, and were polished through my sandpaper grits up to 12000 micro mesh.

stan – i found out about bentwood rings about a week ago… and it seems to be a big mystery around the internet… i’m going to need some more practice until i get it down enough to even have a procedure to share :)
