I made this for my Dad as a Christmas present. It is made from wenge and hard maple on the top and oak for the lower part. It has 3 chambers in it. One for his rosary and the other two for his favorite medallions.

Very nice indeed .. I think I may have found the inspiration I needed for the next round of bulk gifts—this time for my fellow choir members … I hope you don’t mind me using your piece as inspiration!

Thanks for the kind words. I don’t mind anyone using anything I post. I have seen some very inspiring things on this site also.

Very nice. The woods contrast each other nicely, especially the wenge and maple. I am sure that your father appreciated this gift and is quite proud to display it.

Thanks for the display.

Wenge and maple look great together. Granted, I didn’t know it before this post, but now I do and I don’t believe there can be any argument about it. Great job.

That sure looks very elegant. I may copy the design for my moter for her birthday. Very nicely done!

I love the design, very well put together! The contrast is very nice too… really sets it off.
