I have been turning with Yew wood quite a bit lately because a friend gave me 3 huge Yew logs cut down from his property on Thetis Island. Luckily I had another friend with a portable mill who cut it into slabs and blocks for me. It will keep me in turning blanks for quite some time.

Hello B.C. artist ! I saw your yew wood vessel and had to visit your site. Very nice body of work ! Isn’t it fun to be retired ? I have been for three years now but have gotten waylaid by a kitchen remodel project. I hope to get back to the “fun” part of my shop soon. Till then I have to be content with admiring the works of others. Good to find you and your work ! Hope you don’t mind my adding you to my list of woodworking friends !
