First box is a maple burl ring box, perfect for wedding bands and jewelry gifts

Next box is a maple burl jewelry box , good for necklaces and rings

Last box is a larger jewelry box for multiple pieces of jewelry

i love making burl boxes. I am waiting to the end of the month to start my next batch of burl boxes (my wood is slowly drying and I believe at the end of the month the first piece should be dry enough to work with). there has been so much humidity this summer it’s taken quite some time for the wood to dry

That is some special wood, what a great looking box.

Tell me how do you sand all those little holes?

Great looking boxes. I have some burls waiting to be used for something. I may have figured out what to do with them. Do you hinge any of the lids? How do you hollow out the insides, like a bandsaw box?

no hinges, they’re just normal bandsaw boxes :)
