I made this 60” table top out of fishtail oak for the officers club on base. The table sat for about 3 months with one coat of urethane on the top while I waited for a coin to replace one of the orginal coins. The table ended up with a 14 inch crack in it and had to be cut apart to remove the cracked section. After some minor surgery and re routing the edge I finally finished it and moved it into the club. The center is black walnut and was engraved with a CNC router. The coins were all evenly spaced until it cracked now the bottom row of coins is about an inch closer to the center emblem.
