my son will is working on three more piccolo banjos, orders from a new website he put up, seeders instruments. he’s not ready to quit his day job yet (thankfully) but he’s definitely making some progress with his new business. picutred in the photos above is his latest banjo, shipped to california on thursday, to appear at a festival with it’s new owner next week sometime. it’s got an inlay of a corgi (dog) footprint at the request of the owner. another new thing for will was the request for a natural skin (calf) head for a more traditional sound … there’s an extremely brief video of him stretching it and a short clip of him playing it, as well as other, in process photos, on my dorset custom furniture blog.

Neat setup to do these. Nice side line business even if he is not ready to give up the daily grind.

I went to you son’s video link and he is very good at playing.

Love them banjos. Sound great too.

It’s a nice sounding and good looking banjo and they are my favorite musical instrument. congratulations to your son. Dan, you build some nice furniture and have a wonderful web site.
