I don’t even know what the ‘redish’ wood is, but the white wood is pine. This was a bit of a challenge for me to make, being a new scroller, by the way, all pieces were cut on the scroll saw. I gave this one to my sister-in-law and she loves it. I will have to try making another one in future. People wonder how I bend the wood to make the ribbon bow (ha ha). Of course it’s not bent, just cut out on the saw.

Great looking box, did you cut the pattern before glueing the different woods together or all in one shot?

Hey, nailbanger2.. I laminated the the three strips of wood for the ribbon before cutting it in one shot.
