Jack Russell Picture Frame and Mat

I made this frame for My friend Brooks and his pal and mine Scrapper. It is similar to the Ancient China frame Project, only I didn’t distress this one with a baseball bat. The frame is made out of Poplar and constructed with biscuits. I painted it with a series of different shades of blue paint and rubbed it out with a cloth while each coat was still wet. I finished it with a couple of clear coats just to protect the paint.

The matting is cardboard and cloth nearest the outside edge and regular acid free matboard with beveled edges closest to the art. She really made it a challenge to make a unique frame for such a unique piece of art to capture our buddy Scrapper!
