This was my very first project that I created with my scroll saw. As it was early December, I decided to try and make this as a Christmas gift for my son. Cut from 1/4” Baltic Birch. The base piece is pine which I painted black to give the item a little contrast. Two coats of spray varnish applied. I surprised myself at how well this turned out as a first project, and this is what has inspired me to keep going.

That looks great to me. That is also how I started scrolling, I’ve made lots of fire wood and tooth picks since but I love doing it. keep up the good work.
