This table is built of various scrap woods including oak, maple, and poplar. The species did not matter due to the fact that everything was going to be stained, painted, then distressed. I used stain, glazes, blow torch to achieve the look. The paint is actually a pigmented conversion varnish. The clear is a satin conversion varnish. It was a very complex finishing process on this piece.
