After my dad died my daughter and her boyfriend rented a skid steer and went to the ranch and dismantled his patio and the rock wall surrounding it using a sledge and a mortar chisel. They then hauled it to her house and rebuilt it! I was very impressed with their effort so I made her a patio set out of doug fir I salvaged from dad’s horse barn to put on her new patio. She said it was too nice to put outside so it serves as her dining room set and goes out during the nice weather as a patio set. It was a fun build but the octagonal table drove me crazy [no plans/ designed on the fly like all my stuff]. The table is 4’ in diameter and the chairs are like the ones I posted previously. Finish is several coats of sprayed on Spar.

I see you’ve been very busy, Doc. I like ‘em!

Very nice work and good re-use of fine material.

Nice I like your design. Impressive use of salvage lumber. A nice memorial wall build too great tribute to your dad. He’ll always be around in spirit now.

Thanks guys. You are too kind. This was a very rewarding project for me as there is a lot of our family history preserved here. I will post the room in her house that I floored with dads hayloft floor and some other stuff in her house when she gets things where I can get some pics. Stay tuned!
