Each birdhouse is carefully constructed with screws, brass nails, copper, various glues & epoxies. Some are sealed with lacquer, some are not. For versatility, all birdhouses can either stand freely or hang from the top or back. I use a wood burning tool to freehand the botanical decorations, to add more depth & interest. As a tribute to my mom, most birdhouses are adorned with a butterfly. She loved butterflies! Although each birdhouse is completely functional, most are kept indoors to be admired as beautiful works of art.

Main Construction
Roof: Bleached Ash
Body: Sassafras
Face: Zebrawood
Back: Pine

Top Point: Thika Pod
Trim: Radiata Pine, Zebrawood & Yew
Entranceway: Zebrawood

Thanks for looking!

I have joked many times that I wanted to be a birdhouse architect when I grow up. This is really, really nice work

That is fantastic. The poor birds don’t knoq what they are missing since it will be kept inside. Some inside birds, maybe? Looking forward to seeing more.

Wow, it looks kind of like the little ginger bread man’s house. That looks so good that the birds might try to eat it. You did a fine job on this.

Very nicely designed and executed! A bird house for a high rent district!
