My wifes friend/co worker asked if I could fix a broken knife that she has had for years. Apparently she got it from some chef. She broke the handle and saved it, just in case she was able to get it fixed “some day”. My wife commented that she didn’t feel comfortable driving around with an open knife blade sitting on her seat. I decided to make a knife holder to go with the knife. The wood on the knife handle is oak and dark walnut & the knife holder is oak, dark walnut and pecan. I finished it with three coats of mineral oil. Hopefully her friend will be pleasantly surprised and get many years of use from the knife/holder.
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thank you
Robert

Way cool. You will have several broken chefs knives on their way to you for repair/upgrade.
Have your say...
