I’m not even sure why I’m posting these, but what the heck. The square headed one is cherry with an oak handle I turned really quick after the wenge one snapped off(wenge is not a good handle material). the other too I took of my neighbors front porch. They would have been fire wood, so I turned them down into a couple of users, they are oak.

This a useful project. You re-used one mallet and “envisioned” the other two in firewood. Very imaginative.

These are very useful tools. If I ever work a lathe into my budget this will be one of the first things I will turn.

The mallets are great – I just put together a melon-squashing project ala Gallagher for the kids I teach. Nothin’ like making your own tools. I always find they work better than anything you can buy.

Really nice – I’ve got to make myself a mallet and hit something with it.

I’m glad you posted them! They look great. All of us can appreciate a good shop-made tool.
