That looks awesome, love the design and execution. Lot of space there.

is that good quality ply? if not, what wood is it? does it have slim faceframe or the doors are inside the “walls”?

Thanks guys, my wife was very sad to see this one go out the doors. Its all solid sycamore, with the interior casework made with oak veneered mdf. The panels are solid and are book-matched, and the knobs are made from Bocote. Thanks for looking.

I love the look of Sycamore and often wondered why it isn’t used more. Is it hard to come by or really expensive or what? I’ve never seen any at my local supplier in Dallas (Brazos Forest Hardwoods).

Great project Mark. Nice dovetail detail.
Funny, I just got my FWW in the mail and your cabinet looks a lot like the front cover.
Thanks for sharing.

It kind of looks to us that FWW stole your design idea! LOL

The wardrobe is really lovely and well crafted. Thanks for sharing.

Thank guys and gals, it does look similar doesn’t it. Looks like the one in FWW is stained, and I very rarely stain timber unless pushed by a client. Sycamore is quite expensive in Europe($62cuft), and I believe seasonal . Though that might be my timber yards excuse when they have run out. Thanks again for your interest.

heres some pics of it being made….

It does not look like it was stained. I think Becksvoort used Cherry. Cherry will give you that medium darker
orange look. Nice article!
