Thanks guys. To remove the finish I used a chemical stripper which was a big help since the original finish was applied pretty thick.

NICE JOB!!! I love when people bring things back to life!!! You know, that’s the beauty of REAL wood… given the “made in china”, disposable society we live in, with everything being so cheap and crappy (esp. furniture), examples like this are great for everyone to see

Thanks guys, refinishing is something I thought I would never like to do but after doing it a lot this summer I have come to love it. This piece especially since it was for a client and the reaction when it was delivered was priceless.
