Portable Wood Storage Rack for smaller pieces of wood. Keeps things organized and is on wheels, so can move when needed.

Materials used were 2×4(2) and a few 1×2 pine and wheels all from big box store.

One the 3rd picture near the rear wheels I attached one small block for each of the two rear wheels… they have about 3/32 inch clearance from the ground. I did this to prevent tipping when moving it. Because the wheels are INSIDE and the heaviest/tallest pieces of wood go in the back, it had a very slight tendency to want to tip. The blocks completely fixed the issue.

Nice design.

I’m struggling with managing wood offcuts in my shed, I might be able to use this as inspiration to solve my problems. Thank you.

I like it, I need to do something very similar for my mess of a lumber pile. Nice job.

A Perfect solution, for my shop. Hadn’t even given any thought to this , till now.

This is a great design and is just right for staging milled parts prior to glue-ups and assembly. You have just reduced the clutter in my assembly area.

Thanks for sharing. – Len
